Parenting never ends, there are stages of parenting, Little children little issues, older children, harder issues to parent. Even as adults we need our parents to give us approval of our choices. As adults we do come back home to cry in our parents arms. Never stop parenting, because if you do, there will be somebody els doing the teaching, is best if we do the teaching as parents regardless of the age or stage in life.

Teaching for over 18 years at Kenosha Unified School District as an ESL teacher, it fulfills my heart teaching ESL students in small group instruction. After teaching to the student I enjoy teaching to the parent. I have over 15 years’ experience researching parenting resources in Spanish and teaching parenting modules in a friendly school setting at a school or in the community. Teaching parents have taken me to work over 8 years at Gateway Technical College Communication Spanish GED classes. I have seen the empowerment of education over and over in families in our community that has transformed their lives by improving their parenting skills as well as their general education. Completely agree! At 40yrs old, I still seek my parents approval and they still tell me their thoughts on what I should do. In reality, we make our own decisions but what better advise than advise from someone who has been there and done it all already ❤

I am happy to hear you still seek your parents approval, this is a sign of having good parnting skills… is wise to have the trust and freedom to go talk with your parents…be proud of them for they have raise a great child!!
