Teaching for over 18 years at Kenosha Unified School District as an ESL teacher, it fulfills my heart teaching ESL students in small group instruction. After teaching to the student I enjoy teaching to the parent. I have over 15 years’ experience researching parenting resources in Spanish and teaching parenting modules in a friendly school setting at a school or in the community. Teaching parents have taken me to work over 8 years at Gateway Technical College Communication Spanish GED classes. I have seen the empowerment of education over and over in families in our community that has transformed their lives by improving their parenting skills as well as their general education.

The Word is POWER!

When you feel like there is no place to be, no where to go… you go shopping, you get to the mall, you walk around and 15 minutes later you feel is time to go.  You get to the next place and is time to go… its  time to go meet with your lover, the one who truly has your heart.  It is when your inter soul misses Him and wants to be in his arms.  If you have not much to say, get His word…  He wants to speak with you… find a quiet place to be and read His word.

Praying Daily

Having a date with God is as important as having an interview or an appointment with someone of importance.  We get ready to go see our doctor or to an interview.  We need to prepare our selves prior to our prayer time with God.  Prayer is to communicate daily with God.  Spend more time with God in prayer, it is best to pray with a strategy in mind.  To pray one hour per day can become easy when you divide your prayer time into sections. 

  1. Adoration 15 min – think in how many ways you can adore God, call Him by his names!!  Read scriptures in a loud voice that speaks about the POWER of God…
  2. Confession 15 min– time to confess not only your sins but those of your children and other loved ones.
  3. Thanksgiving 15 min– using grateful words and thank God for all He does, gives, and for just being who He is God. Make a list by individuals you love and thank God for each of them and for all they have accomplished…
  4. Supplication 15 min. Having a list onhand already prepared with the list of individuals and their needs. Pray over each need as it is your own.
